Kronplatz, Pustertal Valley and Vicinity

Skiing opportunities are plenty at Kronplatz, South Tyrol’s No. 1 skiing region. With more than 100 kilometers of slopes and modern ski lifts, the 2,275 m Kronplatz is the ideal skiing mountain for demanding skiers and snowboarders. Sun enthusiasts enjoy the long ski runs in three directions and the lavish sun plateau at the peak of the mountain.

Earth Pyramids

The earth pyramids in Percha are a well-known attraction in the Pustertal Valley. From Oberwielenbach by Percha, the earth pyramids can be reached via a well-marked hiking trail in about 45 minutes. They can be reached from Platten in about 30 minutes. Please use marked parking lots; there is no parking at the earth pyramids.

Museum of Folk Traditions

The Museum of Folk Traditions in Dietenheim by Bruneck displays a variety of open-air exhibition grounds and provides a unique insight into the old ways of life.

Castel of Tures

The mighty Castello di Tures is the dynastic seat of the Barons of Taufers and showcases impressive fortified grounds. The well-preserved castle is one of the biggest and finest castles in Alto Adige.

Prettau Mine and Climate Shaft

The mine and climate shaft, no longer in operation, takes you 1,000 meters underground and offers information about the life of the miners and new kinds of respiratory tract treatments (Speleotherapy).
